The Aim of this workshop program is to point a spot light on the oldest Cuban form of Bata drumming and its context giving interested students the opportunity to experience understand and be able to play the basic foundation in the Matanzas style of Bata drumming and Oriki Orisa singing and to experience the activities of Orisa celebration where the Bata drums are being played tambores in its spiritual or celebration context
The workshop is a 6 day intensive working mainly in Bata drumming with Oriki Orisa as an option
