Egbe Oduniyi School of Bata Drumming - is dedicated to enhancing the ceremonial aspects and reasoning of Bata drumming in Cuba, Nigeria and the world. Our workshop programs focuses on sharing the holistic approach of Bata Drumming; its purpose, history, techniques and skills.The school also serves as an information Portal for people based or live in Europe, African Caribbean and Asia, who are interested in Bata drumming and Yoruba culture. Teacher(s) - Ifaleke Haynes Omo Ana Dolapo Ogodo is a UK based Jazz musician, ceremonial drummer for the Ifa orisa Yoruba communities in the UK Cuba and Nigeria and the founder of Egbe Oduniyi School of Bata Drumming. Ifaleke has been running drumming educational projects and teaching ceremonial Yoruba and Cuban drumming styles for over 10 years sharing insight in the characteristics of playing and singing in circular and ceremonial drumming styles, it's basic fundamental reasons and functions.
